Safaricom partners with Total Kenya

Safaricom Business has entered a partnership with Total Kenya allowing Total Bon Voyage fuel cardholder customers to top up using M-Pesa.

The new partnership will make it convenient for Total customers to purchase fuel, lubricants, LPG (Gas), car care services and items stocked at Bonjour shops among other products and services at Total service stations countrywide.

HumanIPO reported last month how Total Kenya had partnered with Airtel to allow its customers to pay for fuel and other services with Airtel Money.

“The world is now moving towards a cashless economy, and with this innovative partnership we are making a compelling proposition for the many drivers who do not have to worry about visiting the bank before going to a filling station”, said Sylvia Mulinge, general manager at Safaricom Business.

Alexis Vovk, managing director at Total Kenya, said: “This is the latest pace setting improvement for users of the Total Bon Voyage fuel card which is usually referred to as BV. The M-PESA PayBill option adds to the convenience of the BV Card and saves the time for our customers.”

Vovk said the partnership with Safaricom is consistent with the trend setting patterns and customer focus that has over the years defined the company as a market leader.
