88mph, an accelerator providing early-stage Kenyan tech companies with mentorship and funding in the range of 20-50K USD, has made its sixth investment since August, 2011.
This time investing 50.000 USD into the Kenyan football website Futaa.com.
“Futaa has shown good traction in the Kenyan market, and we believe we can help the commercial side of the business and help them grow towards a bigger financing round”, says Nikolai Barnwell, 88mph acceleration manager in Nairobi.
With help from 88mph, Futaa.com has already gotten onto Mobile Planet’s Get-It service on Safaricom’s sim card, enabling Safaricom users to follow Futaa news from their favorite Kenyan football team.
