Cybercriminals launch 5 fake Facebook pages for Lagos state police PR officer

Ngozi Braide, the police public relations officer (PPRO) for Lagos stat,e has warned members of the public to be vigilant and not fall victim to fraudsters operating five different Facebook accounts in her name.

She said the fake accounts were launched to swindle unsuspecting members of public, with fraudsters having opened the accounts under her name with her pictures in police uniform as a ploy to deceive and make unsuspecting victims believe they were dealing with her.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Lagos State police public relations officer Ngozi Braide does not operate any Facebook or Twitter account. The perpetrators of this devilish act should desist henceforth or face the wrath of the law as this is not only an embarrassment to the Nigeria Police Force but a criminal offence which is punishable by law.”

She also revealed a high powered investigation body to arrest the culprits had been set up by Lagos State Command.
