Rapid Communications launches “TuAsk” in Kenya

Telecommunications solutions provider Rapid Communications has launched “TuAsk”, a service that will save the public time and traffic by providing them with information.

The product offers users with directory information on hotel and accommodation, restaurants and food courts, courier and post services, travel, shopping, nights out, medical services and automobiles through helplines.

“In a growing economy like Kenya which is working towards achieving Vision 2030, importance of timely information cannot be over emphasised, especially if this information is in response to our daily needs. It is in this regard that Rapid Communications developed this product that gives users directory information on their mobile phones. You never need to worry on getting lost or stranded; information is just a call away,” said Rapid Communications chief executive officer (CEO) Anwar Majid Hussein.

Kenyans and visitors can now get access to information such as the nearest hospital, chemist shop or hotel through their Safaricom lines.

To access this service, users are required to call 0900620126 on the Safaricom network. The call will be directed to a customer service centre where all details of the inquiry will be recorded.

Already active, the service has received close to 5,000 calls from customers so far.
