Nigeria to host inaugural Angel Fair West Africa

Nigeria’s commercial capital city of Lagos will host the inaugural edition of Angel Fair West Africa, an event that will feature 100 local and foreign investors and entrepreneurs.

Scheduled for March 30 and 31, the fair is organised by the Angel Africa List (AAL) in partnership with the Lagos Angel Network (LAN) and the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA).

Representatives are also expected from the Ghana Angel Investment Network, Africa Angels Network, angel groups in Senegal and networks from within and outside Africa.

Selected entrepreneurs will be able to pitch their projects to investors at AFWA.

The event was launched last September in Johannesburg South Africa amidst enthusiasm and interests in staging a continental event thus resulting in the creation of the West African edition of the event.

The event was berthed by Eric Osiakwan, angel investor and technology entrepreneur, and Jamie Clyde, a corporate entrepreneur in conjunction with ArtLogic, a South Africa-based outfit.
