EOH buys out Sybrin

EOH, a South African IT company, has bought out specialised software developer and financial services company Sybrin to compliment its existing strategy.

Sybrin, which is also headquartered in South Africa, has regional offices in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda and Mozambique.

Its staff of 150 will now come under EOH control, and Asher Bohbot, chief executive officer (CEO) of EOH, said: “We were attracted to Sybrin because of its strong management team, solution set and African presence. Sybrin is a great fit into our existing strategy, which includes stronger vertical focus and aggressive African expansion.”

Sybrin also serves countries in Europe and the Middle East and has completed more than 400 product implementations across industry verticals.

“We are joining EOH because of its culture and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Steve Prowse, CEO of Sybrin. “We wanted a partner that could bring our company to the next level, and we are very excited to be part of EOH.”
