Thomas Mathiasen to FollowersI have recently been mentoring at a startup activity in Berlin, Germany. There were teams present from all over the world; Australia, the US, Canada, Russia, Europe, HongKong, competing for the reward of being mentored for 3 months and presented to investors. But none from Kenya and none from Africa at all.
With all the very ambitious and bright entrepreneurs from Kenya, I would be very pleased to see more African participants in future startup events in Europe. You are all both bright and have excellent ideas. Spread your ideas to the world!
Thomas MathiasenYes, I agree that funding is a challenge. However, for the actual startup activity in Berlin, there was travel funding available from various companies, to support the long range travels. I know it is always a tradeoff, to apply for travelfunding, taking the chance abroad, or applying for funding for activities in Keneya and elsewhere.
I do not say it is easy; but knowing the good concepts and unstoppable engagement of African entrepreneurs, I am sure that you will find a way to enter also into non-African startup activities.
Anietie MartinsThere is always a way out of every issue of life right, you will agree with me right? I have a team of mobile/web developer here in Nigeria/Africa, funding is half the challenge also technical and business mentorship is key....can you provide a platform we can meet online for mentorship program?
